School Mural Paints An Unconventional Display Of Hope In The Community
Beautification of Schools Entrance To Go Underway
NORTH MIAMI,FL (May 22, 2017) — In recognition of Team of H.O.P.E.’s 5th Annual Tools 4 School Campaign, the non-profit, all volunteer group is collaborating with Unconventional; an arts agency connecting mission-driven businesses with investments that bring joy and ingenuity to their most important people. With the help of Unconventional founders Gabriel Gimenez and Jordan Magid, “Paint with HOPE” is a led in a paint-by-numbers collaborative painting project custom-designed by Miami-based artist Marlon Pruz.
Local volunteers alongside a team from Apple Retail Stores and a team from the Microsoft Retail Store in Aventura, will join together to paint a mural in North Miami designed by acclaimed artist Marlon Pruz on June 17th at Thomas Jefferson Middle School.
Publix Supermarket which was founded in 1930 with the philosophy of being involved in the communities they serve as a responsible neighbor, is a proud supporter of Paint with Hope "We are proud to support your organization's endeavors to enrich the lives of those in our communities." said Nicole Krauss the Manager or Media & Community Relations of Publix.
The youth is the hope of our future. Research in education & economic development shows that aesthetics can drastically reduce crime-rates & promote urban renewal. Most mural projects just invite artists to show up, paint a mural & move-on - leaving locals marginalized & disconnected from urban development. Instead, our mural will be a great opportunity for community empowerment & civic education.
